THAU

The four members of THAU are the founding fathers (and owners) of Crunchy Frog Recordings. Their debut album “Utah” bears the catalogue number FROG 001 with honor.

THAU is noisepop, inspired by the american alternative rock scene, but with a distinct Scandinavian flavour. They can be quiet and poetic, only to moments later burst into powerfull outlets of noise.

Both melodies and lyrics have a tendency to bring out pictures of deserted places haunted by deep melancholy, but fortunately the band’s good sense of humour and nonchelance is never far off. After all, they did name their record label after a Monty Python sketch …
