Soul sensations D/troit are ready with their long-awaited sophomore album 'Heavy'. True to its title, the sound is dominated by a weightier, hip-hop-inspired feel served with a sure- and light-footed twist of soul, funk to themes of hope, love and the collective challenges we face. It's grittier and sounds both classic and modern with mixing handled by a group of ear-wizards - Wayne Gordon (Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse), Simon Guzmán (Damian Marley,  Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings), Jesper Reginal (Junior Senior,  PowerSolo) and newcomer Christian Ki (Mathilde Falch, Paper Tigers), who was instrumental in the unique, heavy drum sound of the new album.
